Tokenization company Securitize is set to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) this Thursday, following shareholders' approval of its merger with Cantor Equity Partners II (CEPT).

The company will trade under the ticker symbol "SECZ" and will operate as Securitize Corp. following the merger with Cantor. "Following consummation, the combined company will operate as Securitize Corp., and its common stock is expected to begin trading on the NYSE on July 2, 2026, under the ticker symbol 'SECZ'," Securitize wrote in a post on X.

The Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) merger with Cantor enabled Securitize to raise $400 million in proceeds at a pre-money valuation of $1.25 billion, making it the first pure play tokenization company to be listed on a major U.S. exchange.

Acknowledging its listing plan, Carlos Domingo, Securitize's chief executive officer and cofounder, said, “Today, tokenization is moving into the mainstream, and we believe becoming a public company gives us the visibility, credibility, and capital to lead that next phase of growth.”

In addition to trading on the New York Stock Exchange, Securitize has signed a memorandum of understanding with NYSE to serve as the digital transfer agent for a new digital trading platform being developed by NYSE and its parent company, Intercontinental Exchange.

    About Securitize

Founded in 2017, Securitize is a leading real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform that provides end-to-end infrastructure for issuing, managing, and trading tokenized securities, including bonds, equities, and private credit, on public blockchains.

To differentiate itself from competitors, Securitize holds key United States regulatory licenses and registrations, including SEC-registered broker-dealer status, SEC-registered transfer agent status, operation of an Alternative Trading System (ATS), and authorization under the EU DLT Pilot Regime. These credentials have helped it build strong regulatory credibility and maintain compliance in both the United States and Europe.

Since its launch, Securitize has played a significant role in bridging traditional finance (TradFi) and blockchain-based finance. It serves as the tokenization platform and transfer agent for the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), the world's largest tokenized money market fund. The company currently manages more than $4 billion in tokenized assets.
